das fünfgestirn aus haan/gruiten präsentiert mit 'observing life through rose coloured glass' den nachfolger zu ihrem erst im sommer 2000 erschienenen demo-debut. man hört sofort, dass die band mehr reife mitgebracht hat. 'that very time i saw...' besitzt das talent, nie in schlappe emotionen abzudriften, sondern haben immer genug rockappeal, um nie langweilig zu werden. dies hier ist schlicht und ergreifend rockmusik mit einem hang zum emo und posthardcore. besser als die lahmen durchschnittsprodukte des deep-elm labels und jedoch (noch?) nicht so agressiv wie z.b. die kollegen von waterdown. die sieben stücke sind in ihrer länge gestutzt worden. nicht mehr allzu ausladend, sondern kompakter wird jetzt gerockt. With “observing life...” TVTIS, hailing out of haan/germany, present their follow up to their demo debute “i only wanted you to know everything is alright”. And you can hear that the band has grown up. Never drifting into boringness, and always having enough rockappeal to get your legs moving. This is just a great piece of rock music, with a touch of emo or posthardcore (or how ever you would like to call it). Much better than all that lame deep-elm kinda stuff, but (yet?) not as agressive as bands like waterdown and the kinds. All 7 pieces have been shortened in their length. Makes that little sucker compact and rocking!
