TRIP FONTAINE kommen aus Rodgau, einem Vorort von Frankfurt am Main. Das 1998 gegründete Quintett hält wenig von Genregrenzen und Szenegehabe, sicherlich ein Grund für den eigenwilligen Stilmix, der immer Überraschungen birgt, ohne dabei beliebig zu werden. Live steht die chaotische und ekstatische Komponente ihrer Musik deutlich im Vordergrund und doch ist unverkennbar, wie sich immer mehr melodiöse, poppige und psychedelische Elemente ins Songwriting einschleichen, die dem ansonsten von Hardcore und Noise geprägten Sound der Band wahrlich gut stehen. TRIP FONTAINE is a five-piece band from Rodgau a grey suburb of the German city Frankfurt am Main. Founded in 1998 hardcore, punk and grunge definitely had a huge effect on TRIP FONTAINE´s music, but they never considered themselves as part of a special scene or genre. That´s one reason for their particular sound, that always surprises you without getting arbitrary. Although the live-performances are still dominated by the chaotic and frantic aspects of their music, poppy and melodic parts became more and more important during the songwriting process to their first longplayer “Lilith”.
