Der Boden in Essex ist fruchtbar. Prächtig gedeihen hier vor allem Rock- und Popstars von internationalem Ruhm. Man denke nur an Depeche Mode, Bloc Party, The Prodigy oder Iron Maiden. Und nach wie vor ist die Szene in Essex eine der aktivsten der Welt. Der aktuellste Beweis sind KENAI, die mit „Hail The Escapist“ ihr Debütalbum veröffentlichen, das Rock, Post-Hardcore und Pop-Punk kombiniert anreichert.

Essex‘ musical past is littered with rock and popstars of international fame, whose musical prowess has flourished here on the British east coast. Just think of Depeche Mode, Bloc Party, The Prodigy and Iron Maiden, to name a few. And Essex‘ scene is still active, the most current proof of this activity being KENAI, releasing their debut album “Hail The Escapist“. Their music grows in rich soil, fertilized with elements of Post-Hardcore, watered with Pop-Punk and enriched with melodic arcs which give the songs an unique catchiness despite all their harshness.
